DO NOT ASSUME
Do not assume that your friend knows it all when she doesn’t. I will share my experience with you. There was a time my friend came to me for some explanations, I was very tired. Trust me. I taught her the ones I could and left just one topic, I just assumed she should know it because it was the simplest of all the topics. Just after some few minutes she left, I slept off.On getting to the exam hall the following morning, No 1 compulsory question in the theory part was the one I didn’t explain to her. I felt really bad. I felt like I should go and teach her because it was 20 marks but it was too late. After the exams, I immediately went to her and asked her how the exam went, her eyes were sore, she already cried secretly. I was bittered. I apologized to her but was still feeling bad. I went on my kneels to God before I was relieved. But she passed the course with a C.... you know what I mean?? A scale through C. Hummm!!!Do not assume that that your friend is spiritually sound. She might be speaking in tongues, casting demons, healing the sick and delivering the captives. She might be such a nice and cool friend but you don’t know what she’s going through. She might be struggling with God, trying to get herself back on her feet with God.Do not assume your parents are physically strong. They might not have a choice than to take good care of you. Parents pretend to be OK, in as much as they see their children feeling very much OK. Try to find out things. Take notice of dull moments. Help find solutions to them if necessary or preferably PRAY.Do not assume he/she loves you. He/she might just want to while away time. Maybe the person needs attention or more love. You were there on time and that’s why he/she loves you. Do not throw away the UNCONDITIONAL LOVE that Christ has for US. He has paid it all.Do not assume that close relative doesn’t need prayers. Maybe because he/she is booming. Hummmm!!! The devil might be at work somewhere because he doesn’t rest. He is always going about, seeking whom he may devour. Pray for your loved ones. Do not assume they are very fine. Try intercessory prayers. Jesus does that too.My friends, I beg of you. Do not assume/presume. Be sure of before concluding. GOD BLESS YOU.
NEGLECTED?
Why am I neglected always?? Why am I always left out of everything? My dad is always travelling leaving me and my mum at home. Or is it a crime to be the only child. Mum too is not making matters easy. She leaves to work early and comes back late at night. I need someone to share my problems with. I need someone who is ready to hear me out. I feel helpless. Everybody seem busy with their own lives. These were the words of Esther. The only child of Mr & Mrs Oreoluwa.
Mr Oreoluwa is an engineer. He believes the world is all about money and he needs that fast. How about Mrs Ore, She's into buying and selling of clothes. She imports and exports clothes within and outside the country.
One fateful day, Esther went out with her friends, Tobi and Tope. Since she's always neglected and her friends are available, she followed them out with a heart of innocence. Unknown to her, her friends were going for a get together party. Hum-mmmm....Let's find out what happens next.
Esther got hooked to a guy named Desmond, He is a cool, handsome young man, well built and caring. Esther fell in lust at first sight. That night passed and guess what, Desmond proposed and after some weeks, she said yes. She got pregnant in the long run and planned on aborting. When she needed her friends and parent the most, they weren't there for her. Before she said yes to Desmond, she has been wanting to tell her mum but since she's always busy, she kept postponing the discussion. Finally, Esther aborted the pregnancy and died in the process.
Your case doesn't need to be like this. You need not lose your life. Jesus has died in your place. Esther had nobody on her side, she was neglected by all including her own parent. You might not have the support of anybody but remember Jesus is the hope of the hopeless and helper of the helpless. He wants you to come to him so that your life wont be miserable. "No wonder he said in Matt 11:28, Come to me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I'll give you rest. If your situation seem like Esther's or worse than that, the only person that can help is Jesus. Cling to him and you'll never regret doing so.
Thanks for your time.Remain blessed!!!
SHOULD I STILL WAIT?
I heard God say ‘’ I have chosen you Tola’’. You’ll be the one to lead many to me. I love you so much. Your family will draw closer to me through you. Tola: Surprised, why me God?? Why....I asked him this over and over again. God, but am not Moses, neither am I Aaron or even Joshua. I’m too small for this. What will my friends say? What will my dad and mum do? I cannot even face the crowd. I do not have time. How do I go about doing that, my academics will suffer.I just need advice on how to go about my life because I’m confused. I don’t wanna be cast away and I don’t wanna get God angry.
God: There is a question I’ll like you to answer.
Tola: Go ahead God.
God: Who created you?Tola: You God, you created me
God: My purpose for your life is planned already. In the book of Jeremiah 1:5, it says, before I formed thee in the belly i knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. All because I have called you does not mean your academics will suffer, I have plans for you already and that is why I chose you amongst others. Obeying me will only make things work out fine for you because all my promises are yours. Tola, haven’t you read in your bible in Psalm 119:99, ‘’I have more understanding than ALL my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation’’.I also said ‘If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of ME, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind’
Tola: I know God; that is in James 1:5-6.God: The wicked flee when no man pursues: but the righteous are bold as a lion. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. I have made you righteous already by my blood. Why being shy?
Tola: ok, God, what will i be saying to people?
God: Hummmmm, I’m sure you are not conversant with your love letter (Bible) Check Luke 12:12
Tola: Opening the bible...........matt, mark, luke....12:12 ‘’The Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” Ohhhhh!!!! I read that long ago but I just over looked it.
God: Every word in the bible is for the purpose of man’s sake. Now you understand the reason why I called you, it’s to bring many more souls to me. Your character is emulative by people, you are highly opportune. Ok?
God: ok, I am ready Lord, in as much as you’ve enlightened me a little on your plans for me.
God has called many of us, but the problem is similar to that of Tola, will you rather think of what others will say or what God will do?We all know God’s plans for us already. So why excuses? What are you waiting for??God is not happy with most of us, he’s hurt deep down. Saying, ‘’I want to give him/her a second chance. Will he/she maximize the opportunity?’’I pray God will not replace us IJN.
THE 20 GHANA CEDI NOTE
Some years back in K-poly, a well known motivational speaker started off his seminar by holding up a Ghc 20 note. In the room of over 200 people, he asked, " who would like this Ghc 20 note?"hands started going up.he said" i'm going to give this Ghc 20 note to one of you but first, let me do this". he proceeded to crumple the cedi note. he then asked, "who still wants it"?still the hands were up in the air. " well, he replied, "what if i do this?" and he dropped it on the ground and started to crush it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty.
"Now who still wants it? " Still the hands went into the air. " My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. no matter what i did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. it is still worth Ghc 20 note.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are wothless. but no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. YOU ARE SPECIAL TO GOD AND HE LIKES AND LOVES YOU, NO MATTER HOW CRUMPLED AND DIRTY YOUR LIFE MAY BE. DON'T EVER FORGET THIS!!!

WHICH WATER???
It was on a Sunday. I was washing my clothes. Suddenly my phone rang and in hurry, i left to get my phone. I hadn't received calls in days. But before I left, I had to rinse my hands in a fairly clean water due to the soapy foam lather that covered my hands. I picked up my phone but was not comfortable holding it because of the remains on my hands.
I went back to the laundry room, made way to the clean water, rinsed my hands thoroughly and then cleaned my phone. As i ended the call, something popped up in my head as I thought...... it's God's---" It hurts me how my children rush and hurry out for alter calls because the time is limited. Many of them even do so because they saw their friends going, and some even go out to add to the number of people there or so as to be covered by the camera effects. But deep inside them, their motive is not receiving me as their Lord or rededicating their lives.
Yet after days/ weeks of their "PRESUMED" salvation, the devil strikes again. Why this happens is because they have only washed themselves in a fairly cleaned water (presumed blood) of which they called Christ's. Afterwards, they go into the world and commit SIN again. Many even compare themselves with others saying " I don't steal, I just collect what I think is my right from my parent. Perhaps, I'm not like my peers that fight, steal, lie and do all sorts of atrocities and wickedness.
As this thought faded, I was made to realize that this message was real and true. My brethren/ friends, I tell you that there is no big SIN or small SIN. For all is SIN in the sight of GOD. (I John 5:17a). You had better wash yourself in the clean water ( blood of JESUS) and be made completely whole, free from all infirmities and immune to SIN. (Think about how much better you will feel when you wash your hands in a clean water. Think about how much comfy you will get when you are consecrated in the blood of the LAMB).CONSECRATION HYMN--- Are you washed in the blood,In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb? Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?STAY BLESSED!!!!
MAGNETS!!!!
A bar of magnet as we all know attracts any metallic substance including magnets like itself in opposite poles. I sat down and had a flash back on a memory of my secondary school days--when a teacher asked us to bring a bar of magnet each for an introtech project.
Moreover I have come to realize that a bar of magnet perform the same function as a WiFi connection does. Similarly they have the same features. As a magnet attracts anything around it containing metal, so does the WiFi, anything with WLAN.
Am I attracting or repelling people to Christ??Is my behaviour worth emulating??Is my Christian life attractive or repulsive??Am I living an exemplary life??
Entering any supermarket to get myself anything, I take quality things that attracts me not minding the cost. This also applies to the unbelievers. If you are the spiritually attractive type of Christian, they'll always want to emulate you not minding the cost but if you're the repelling type, they tend to criticize you saying thank God he/she is not different from us. Some might even say " is he/she a Christian at all?"
Are you the type of Christian that attracts or repel others? Are you the type that attracts souls into God's Kingdom or otherwise? Are you the type that forces some unbelievers to mock God in your life?Remember Daniel in Daniel 6 : 25- 28Also Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego - Daniel 3:29-30WATCH IT, CHECK YOURSELF, SAVE A SOUL!!!PRAYER POINT- Lord, grant me the grace to attract others to your kingdom.
WORSHIP THAT PLEASES GOD
Tomorrow is Sunday. What will I wear? They must notice me tomorrow. They must know I have lot of clothes in my wardrobe. Hum mm. It's even a Thanksgiving Sundae. I cannot wear this... ermmmm.... OK .I'll wear this gown and this my heels will be a perfect match. My pastors must comment on this dressing. Mehn!!! I'll make sense tomorrow. I hope Bro. Ope and Pstr. Shadrach comes to church.. Sure they'll. THEY MUST.
Those were the words of an 18 yr old girl, Katherine. Her mum had called earlier to inform her of their early arrival at church the following day. She then made way to the wardrobe to select the gown and heels. Being the only daughter of her rich parents. Everything she wanted was to her grasp. She was cared for like no other.
The day finally came, Katherine and her parents got to church at exactly 8:30am. On getting to church, she entered the teens church and was disappointed at what she saw. She started counting.....1,2,3,4..........18. That was the number of persons she counted in the teens church. She said to herself "So it's only these 18 people that will see my cloth. Never!!! Where is Bro. Ope??? "I cant wear this cloth for nothing, It cnt be. She left immediately and stayed on the staircase leading to the church so as to be seen by people coming in.
At about 11:30am, she went back to the teens church and was a little encouraged seeing the crowd. She majestically walked in and almost all eyes were on her due to her noisy heels. As the sermon was going on, she didn't listen as she was consumed by her dressing. She was anxiously waiting for the thanksgiving section.
As the choristers were singing, Katherine was dancing uncontrollably. She wasn't dancing to the beat and tune of the songs but to her own self. Although asides her, some others danced because they were told to and because it's thanksgiving Sunday. All others danced because they were actually grateful to God.
LESSON #1- Do not dress to impress others or to oppress them. Dress moderately.
LESSON #2- God accepts thanks from a willing and pure heart irrespective of their background.
LESSON #3- Pride, there was a little showcase of pride in Katherine. Pride they say, goes before a fall even God said he hates pride. Proverbs 11:2
LESSON #4- Worship God in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24)
LESSON #5- Psalm 150:6....Remember, every living creature not every rich/poor creature. Thanks for ur time.Happy Sundae.
